This is a portrait of the French writer, Marguerite Duras, from a photo of her that I saw on the cover of her autobiographical short novel 'The Lover'.
I really loved the book and this picture, of the writer at 13 years of age, the same age as she was at the time of the story, really grabbed me and wouldn't let go. An 'old soul',
for sure !
This is framed and hanging in Arnold's TV and Video (and Art Gallery), in Bar Harbor.
